Independence
Individuals with access and functional needs may rely on mobility devices, assistive technology, vision and communication aids, or service animals to maintain their independence. During an emergency, disruptions to this equipment and support may make it harder to move safely, communicate, or manage daily activities.
Help the AFN Community Maintain Their Independence
- The Alameda County Social Services Agency provides resources and essential support to Alameda County residents, helping individuals, families and communities meet basic needs.
